Snip stupid SPAM

Wow, Ricky. When you SPAMMED the bass group, it was Jesus granting eternal
life.

Did you get a promotion?

If I buy your reel, will I get eternal life?

Enquiring minds want to know.

OOPS,

No, only Jesus can give you eternal life. It was late....

Regarding spam, I do not consider the occassional auctioning of items
of specific interest and then posting a link to the auction spam as
long as the Usenet group is related somewhat to the particular item.

On rec.rollercoaster (my homegroup) many people are glad I post the
amusement park/roller coaster related items I auction, some have a
problem with it. I am not out to make a lot of money or a living on
eBay, just getting rid of things I don't want or need.

I honestly hesitated before posting this reel auction to the fishing
groups because there were 3 or 4 different ones I found, some seemed
related only at a distance (like ya'll).

Bottom line, if you think an eBay auction link to a special interest
item is spam then I suppose that is where we differ in opinion, and
you know that Usenet is all about differing, and thankfully,
unmoderated opinions.

I am careful to word my titles so as to hint at an auction. If you
read a title and it smells and tastes like spam to you, then the
option of reading or ignoring the message is your option. Personally,
over my years on Usenet (RRC specifically) I have learned to ignore
what I would call SPAM. My Usenet experience is much more pleasant
because of this.
