Tim & Frank:

Somewhere in the ether floats the long response I wrote you early this
morning, inaccessible and gossamer, wiped out when I inadvertently hit
the back button on my browser. I guess this is the price we pay for
the profound convenience of instantaneous virtual communication. This
response is a reconstructed and reassembled shade of the first.

Anyway, thanks for the hearty welcome from some old internet friends.

After I send my post, I self-administered a dope slap. I should know
that abpf is alt.binaries.pictures.fishing. Many a time I have perused
the site. Who can forget the posts full of images of morbidly obese
carp held by naked European models. There must be some strange, and
named, fetish behind those pictures.

My difficulty came because I am using the Google Newsreader as my
portal to Usenet. Apparently Google has decided to pretend that the
entire alt.binaries area of Usenet does not exist. Thus, I am unable
to access abpf through an internet portal. Does any know of an
internet portal that will enable me to access abpf? I would prefer not
to use Outlook Express to access newsgoups if I can help it.

To answer your question, Tim, my wife, kids, and I will be moving to
East Machias, Maine (in Washington County, on the coast) this June,
which we will be making our permanent residence (assuming we do not
freeze solid). In fact, I am flying up to Maine next week to attend
the inspection of the captain's house we are buying in East Machias.

One of our goals in relocating was to be in a place where fly fishing
opportunities are right beneath my nose. Maine should foot the bill.
Right now it has been so long since I went fly fishing that I truly do
not know how long it has been. It has certainly been more than a year.
Although I am planning on fishing the Norfork Tailwater in Arkansas in
three weeks. I'll let you know how that goes.

After the move I am confident that we will do float trips and trips up
to Grand Lake's Stream, among other opportunities. The point is, I
should be able to actually meet some of the Roffians I have
corresponded with.

Tight Lines & Dry Clothes.
