They didn't buy it, they licensed it from the inventor, just like
Gambler did. But I don't see it listed on their website or in their 2006

The inventor sued his original licensee because they did not meet his
minimum sales requirement of his contract (which was way too high, they
were fools to sign a contract with minimum sales requirement so high,
they were also fools to pay such a high percentage for royalties. (7
cents per weight) The inventor was making 500,000 dollars a year, and he
claimed that was not enough, he is going to end up making much less
because of all this mess.
Greed has cost inventors millions.
