I wish we had lakes like that in Southwestern Ohio. Maybe I need to move
North. :-) Those were some very nice fish. I only have caught one 4"
smallmouth in my life. And that was when I was salmon fishing in Manistee
last year with a 3/4 oz. little cleo spoon. That fish had all three hooks
in the front of its mouth.

This body of water is awesome, 14,326 acres according to my Fishing
Hotspots
map. There's tons of submerged timber, stumps, rocky shorelines and
sand/gravel. It looked like it should hold a fish or two.

We ended up boating over a dozen smallmouth, I got cut off by a couple
muskies and had a nice muskie in the mid 40 inch class chase a spinnerbait
to the side of the boat.

We took pictures of some of the fish caught today. I've never seen
smallie
as deep in the body as these were. Good Lord, they were solid and strong.
