prefer Shimano & St Croix.

I have lots of St Croix rods in both spinning and bait casting. Some
premiers and some avids. Both are very nice. Sorry, have not used any xps
xtremes from BPS, but my BPS Bionic Blades I thought were middle of the road
and slightly heavier than comparable St Croix Premiers for close to the same
price.

If you can afford it by St Croix Avids. If you need to save a couple bucks
buy the St Croix Premiers.
