good work roger...booking a room at the slide inn often becomes a sport
in itself. it's a great location and kelly galloup is among the best of
the u.s. flyfishermen in my opinion...i think you'll like it there.
you're really going to enjoy the western u.s. streams, especially if the
madison salmon fly hatch occurs during your stay.
So, do you and Gentleman Joe have your itinerary figured out yet?
i sent joe a note, but haven't heard from him yet. i reserved a cabin
at slide inn for july 8-15. i hope to go out for 9-10 days...but not
sure. flight costs have gone crazy. all of northwestern flights are
over a grand - was about 400 bucks last year. cheapest fare i've found
is about 500 with a bunch of stops in strange places. not good for my
flying psychosis.
Atlanta to West Yellowstone is around $485 round trip on Delta with a stop in
Salt Lake. Raleigh/Durham to West Yellowstone is $531 stopping in Atlanta and
Salt Lake on the way out and Salt Lake and Cincinnati on the way back, FYI.
Assuming I can afford it I'll drive and stay 2 or 3 weeks in July, then I come
back in September for another 2 weeks.
