Mike,
Snowpack in the northern rockies is pretty healthy this year. Here's a
slightly technical site that will give you more data than you could
possibly want about western US snowpack...

Best way to guage snowpack is to use this function:

http://www.wcc.nrcs.usda.gov/cgibin/westsnow.pl

and click on the current month. The resulting map will show snowpack
in terms of "percent of normal." You can see from the map that we're
looking at a VERY slim year down here in the Southwest but that MT/WY
is looking wet.


Central Idaho is looking pretty good. You Southwest guys got most of
"our" precipitation last year, so we're due. :-)
