I'm selling my beloved Cobra this year and I've had some contact with
FastCat Marine. Has anyone heard anything about these boats, good or
bad?

Thanks,
Steve,
What is the largest engine size? What is the estimated top end :}
In their web pictures it shows boats but none with carpeting and all
look to me like the front deck slopes down towards the front.
Because they're over 20 feet, the Coast Guard cannot restrict the
horsepower, so they're rated "Unlimited". I was told that I can expect to
get into the mid to upper 80's with a 250 Merc. None of the boats have
carpeting, I asked about that. What I was told is that the boats are so
aerodynamic that they cannot find an adhesive that will keep the boat carpet
glued down for a reasonable length of time. All the boats they've carpeted
have had the carpet come loose. So they grit coat the walking surfaces for
traction. I'm supposed to get a CD that has more information about the
boat, it's hull, design features etc.
