This is a second attempt at making this post. I don't see the one I made
earlier today so here it is - again....

And many thanks to those that responded. After reading the review (below),
looking at many sites and talking to several others - the Peak vise was
ordered directly from Peak this morning. They have a bit of a promo going
on that includes all the upgrades available (extra midge jaws, C clamp,
riser and brass knobs) for $220 - right within the target budget.

Cabela's carry's the Peak vise ($149) but you would have to order the
options from Peak so its six of one, or a half a dozen of the other.
Lifetime warranty and made in the USA were also deciding factors, so all in
all, I believe my brother-in-law will enjoy his new toy and I'll have a
lifetime supply of custom made flies to try. Not a bad deal when you
consider his wife is a fantastic cook ..... and we visit often....!

They recommend the Peak Vise in your price range. Left or right
hand 'as is'.
