as you know, steven, i don't often engage in political posting around
here, but i hope i can be forgiven for offering this opinion, in response to
your concern, stated above: i think you are right about the takeover
attempt, but i think it has already passed beyond the "baby steps" stage,
and is in the process of being soundly rejected, as will be evidenced by the
results of the next couple congressional/governors/senatorial/presidential
elections.

i get this deja vu which puts me in mind of the gut feelings i had in
