Okay, despite the best planned lays of mice and men (was that
right?), I'm not going to get my ties flied for this years GFS. I had
high hopes of doing up a dozen while in New Zealand, but the
combination of long days and longer necked bottles meant I never got
to tie up any. Now that I'm back in Hongo Congo, work starts tomorrow
and I don't see any opportunity to get them tied in the next week.
I'm not entirely sure I even see an opportunity to get my day job
done in the next week.
I know, I know. Twenty noodles with a wet lash, but I'd rather have a
#22 Mustad driven up my little toenail than apologize on roff.
Please accept them, tyers. :-(
Real men don't make excuses. I'm at a convention in Orlando and brought my
tying stuff with me so Frank and all the people counting of getting 23 flies
won't think less of me for bailing out. Just got back from the annual Sales
dinner (and many glasses of fine Italian wine and an unbelievable wonderful
salmon dinner) and tied a few flies because. . . I am the alpha-male.
Frank - rest assured the flies will be there on time because REAL MEN don't
wimp out on obligations.
Who loves ya, Myron. ;-)
