Most of you are probably already aware of Wikipedia:

Those who aren't should take a look at it. Some who are have expressed
reservations about it in this forum.

Well, the beauty of it is that if you don't like what you read about a
particular topic or you think it's incomplete, you can change it or add to
it. That's right, boys and girls, ANYBODY can edit Wikipedia!

I just looked in a while ago to check on some other matter and decided to
see what they have on fly fishing.......it ain't much. Wouldn't it be nice,
I thought, if all the readers here (arguably the world's largest and finest
collection of fly fishing knowledge) took it upon themselves to make it a
really first class resource on our beloved avocation. At the very least, it
could be made into a reference to which one could point hapless newbies who
continue to ask and reask the same questions over and over and over, month
after month after month.

That's actually a very good idea, Wolfgang. Brilliant.

I'll volunteer to write the sections on fluorocarbon leaders, bamboo
rods, and lightweight rod tubes. :-)
