I guess so, I've never had Lasik. With cataract surgery supposedly
it takes two or three days for all the drugs to wear off and three
weeks for the eye to completely heal. When completely healed they
determine your permanent prescription. Hopefully when all is said
and done I'll just need reading glasses.

She had her Lasik done by an acquaintence of ours, and he offered to let
me watch the procedure. I thought it was just laser zapping, and he
didn't give details prior to the start of the thing. So anywho, there
we are - the doc, the nurse, and me on one side of the Zap-o-tron or
whatever it's called, and K in the Zap-o-lounger on the other side of
the thing. There were two binocular eyepieces on our side, with Doc
looking into one, and he offers to let me look through the other. While
the Zap-o-tron is fairly large, it was small enough that I could look
through the eyepiece while still holding my darlin's well-manicured
(i.e., talons fully sharpened) hand. And then, the Slice-o-tron cut a
slice from the top of her eye. "HOLY ****!" I said...and I still have
the fingernail scars to prove it...Doc still laughs about it...K, on the
other hand, has only recently found the humor in it...

Anyway, it took her about 24 hours or so to feel better, and about the
same coupla-three weeks to fully heal/recover/whatever.
