One of the great joys in my life is finding loose agglomerations of symbols
like the above collection and then examining them to see whether any meaning
can be extracted from them. This little gem is particularly delicious
because it contains the tantalizing character string "statistics" which, in
its natural habitat, refers to the application of various mathematical
manipulations to data sets in an effort to determine whether or not any
reliable meaning pertaining to a (usually small) number of a priori
assumptions (or hypothoses, if you will) can be extracted from (or squeezed,
distilled, ripped, eluted or masticated from.....at grant renewal time)
them. I'll keep you posted if I find anything.

Well, I just checked and it looks like I don't got no Shiites or Sunnis at
all. Moreover, a quick check of the files confirms that I've have never had
any in stock. Consequently, I can only speculate on what might be a wise
course for you to take in dealing with yours. My suggestion is that you
just dump them somewhere (say, the Middle East, for example) and let them
sort their own **** out.......write it off as just another of those pesky
inevitable business expenses.

Too true. Just an hour ago, before leaving for work, I sat out on the front
stoop with a cup of coffee and a cigarette. Looking up between musings on
the amazing (and, doubtless, anomalous) frequency of the appearance of
genius on ROFF, danged if there wasn't a place staring me right in the face.
Went inside, rinsed out the coffee cup at the sink, glanced out the back
window and BANG!.....there's another place! Intrigued (and not a little
alarmed by now), I checked windows on both sides of the house and.....yep,
you guessed it......places on both sides! It looks for all the world like I
am surrounded by ****ing places! Anybody else notice that lately?

Hard to say for sure. I mean, it depends on a number of things, not least
of which is just what the question means. For example, do any or all of
these Algerians have to BE a sect?......or is it sufficient to merely belong
to one? For that matter, are we even talking about Algerians?......or is it
(as implied by your use of the possessive form) something over which they
enjoy ownership that is being killed and mutilated? Then too, it seems to
me that if whoever (or whatever) is being killed and/or mutilated can
mitigate this circumstance by the simple expedient of picking another sect,
it's hardly incumbent on me to try to solve the problem by counting them.
Nor, I might add, does it seem likely to me that it would work anyway.
