We have been catching a few in Sarasota Bay. We caught 3 small pompano ( 1
to 2 lbs) and a 4 lb permit Wed am. Would not say it is a run but we have
been catching a few for the last several weeks along with sheepshead. Most
going out of New Pass have been catching pompano.

The Sarasota ABC affiliate has a fishing segment on Friday. Tonight the
guide who is featured on it was shown catching pompano and blue fish in
Sarasota bay. The water is still around 61 deg.
