Garmin served me well... and when the GPS goes out on my boat, Garmin is the
only choice. Didn't know I could connect it to the depth finder though...

Not positive about that but have been checking to find out more.

Wise choice... however, when I replaced my Garmin 160, I bought another
Eagle 360. Nice little unit with a great readout. Priced at $150... is
hard
to beat.

True, but I want the units to interconnect when the GPS is mounted in
the boat and I want color.

I had an Eagle Ultra II for what seems like forever. It worked great
but needed to be sent in multiple times for moisture getting into the
unit. very time I got it back there would be a line of pixals that
did not work causing me to send it in again which would result in
another leak. This went on for a long time. Finally I got it back
with 2 lines not working but no more water problems and left it at
that.

I liked the screen and operation but Eagle in my opinion is a second
rate company when it comes to service quality and honesty.

I'll have to dig in the truck for the liturature I found on the net
about the Garmin units I was thinking about. I'll post it and see if
there are any comments, good or bad.
