Default gravity fed livewell

This is the first I heard of a gravity filled livewell. Thanks for the
explanation. I was beginning to wonder if it was some sort of joke meaning
that you take a large bucket, reach over the side of boat, fill the bucket,
and then empty it into the livewell. Gravity is definitely at play there.

No, it fills itself when you remove the plug in the livewell.

However, when I had one of theses in my boat, I would pull the plug to

fill
it then plug it off. I bought aerator kit used for ice chest and

installed
it in the live well. Depending on the length of my trip, I would drain

the
water every 2 hours and refill to keep the water cool so it would not kill
my bait or fish depending on its use.
