Yep. It was well-established that there were trout in Baja, but
this is big news.

the americanfishes.com page

Absolutely. I had run across the americanfishes.com stuff a year so
so ago as a result of someone (here maybe?) posting a link to the
illustrations, but this article does a great job of synthesizing all of
the previous research.

FWIW, my interest in all this is somewhat selfish. SWMBO and I may
wind up retiring to Mexico, and it would sure be nice to be able to
chase some wild trout there. But there's a lot of work to be done if
those fish are to survive.
