Great books by a hillarious author. I really enjoyed "Lamb." Its
about Jesus' best friend while growing up; "Biff." Kept having to stop
Jesus from killing and resurecting lizards, people would get suspicious

Fluke is also great. Chasing down humpback whales that have grafitti
messages on their tales.

Fluke's been my least favorite of his so far. While I could barely
sit up to read the part where the two whale watching women had a bit
of a problem with their boat being used in an odd way by the whales,
the rest of it didn't flow as well for me after the first half. Once
the basic mystery was solved, it was a lot too much like some of my
old SF reading. Rather like Our Lady of the Fishnet Stockings, where
the ending left me feeling that I got it, but didn't care, because it
had all been a bit too much of forced satire, like Candide.

Gotta love the dog in Melancholy Cove (and Stupidest Angel). "No,
food guy. Don't die! My food dish is on the other side of the door
and I don't have opposable thumbs."

And my local librarian can bless the 'Net, because I didn't have to
find her to look up the relevant facts on whales to judge the
likelihood the whale watching event could even possibly have happened.

Speaker to squirrels, willow watcher, etc..
Often taunted by trout. Almost entirely harmless.
Really.
