I've not been down that way for a while so I've no idea how safe the coast
is under the cliffs/landslip atm but...

The whole coast from Beer head all the way back to the Dorset border is
worth a look. Right now (it's early in the season IMO) the beaches are
likely to be as good as the rocks and your best bet it to cover as long a
stretch of coast as you can so hiking boots on and travel light. The
rivermouth/bar is worth a bit of attention as are the edges of any kelpy
areas and the edges of any mudslides that are carrying topsoil&vegetation
into the water.

As soon as the water begins to warm the rocks will become the main magnet
for bass as the crab peel gets going - they'll still chase a plug.

Still too soon atm but sometime there will be a few fish running into the
Axe estuary. Sit on the bridge and watch the early flood to see if they're
running. If you fancy wading the mud on a dawn low tide check - there are
strange rules there and you may need a to buy a ticket so ask in the local
tackle shop first.

WARNING: Those rocks will be slippery at this time of year, worse in rain,
and the landslips and slides will be active. If you go farther the mud traps
towards and beyond Lyme will be deep and sticky. Don't go past Haven Cliff
alone at this time of year until you know the coast.
