TR for Scott

Last week Scott asked if any of us were going to fish over the Easter
weekend. I had the good fortune to get out on the river for a spell
yesterday, Scott, so I thought I'd post a report.

I thought I was gonna get to wet a line yesterday but
the day was unseasonably hot, 86F, and that brought
out a prolific hatch of inner tubes on Deep Creek.
So I unpacked and then went to the grocery store for
some beer. At the checkout the girl said something
about no beer for the see-icks. What the hell, I'm
not see-ick, I feel fine. The tahm, it's after see-icks.
So I look at my watch which reads one minute to straight
up seven and I ask for the tahm. Now the only thing I
know about the tahm on my watch is that it's wrong. One
hour wrong. So it's either 8 o'clock or see-icks o'clock.
I figured I had a 50/50 chance. It's 8 she said, looking
at me like I was more than just a little tetched in the
head (or haid, for those following along in southern ;-).
I thought for a second about getting irate about the rubes
who won't sell beer after see-icks but I figured it's
Easter Sunday, I'm in the South, I'm lucky to be in a place
where I actually could buy beer if I weren't see-icks.
