Steve,

I see the St. croix blanks are probably the best "bang for the buck"
blank. They are in my price range. I have never used a st. croix rod and
have heard mixed feelings on them. I really like my BPS Extreme rods
$99.00. What blanks are those made with?

Dave,

From what I've heard, the BPS rods are built in Korea, so I don't know who's
blanks they are. Of course, my source could be wrong too.

Anyone that knows me knows that I am a firm believer in St. Croix blanks,
building 99% of my rods with them. The Avid series I feel offers the best
compromise between price and quality, but if you'd like to spend a little
more, take a look at the Tournament series. More sensitive and lightweight
than the Avid, they're not quite as light or sensitive as the Legend Elite,
but more durable.
