He could always take it back to the lads at Wally World.

Remove the bail. set it on a block of wood. Reshape it carefully with a
heavy nonmarring hammer. A plastic deadblow might work. I would use a
lead mallet, but you can't just go buy those you have to make your own.

The bail on one of my reels is bent. It hits the handle. How do i
bend
it back to it's original shape without damaging the reel. The bail
does
not bend that easy. Thanks
Come on now...are we just to tell you what to do if we
do not know what we are supposed to do it to
;}
The reel type is Daiwa Whiskers 1300. I had a go at bending the bail
wearing gloves. The bail is rather thick wire and not easy to bend.. It
seems to be clearing the handle. It's a good reel. Its' puzzling as to
why the bail got bent in the first place. I store the reel in my gear
bag and I have caught some big fish (non bass) using the reel. I didn't
think I had to name the reel since a bail on a spinning reel is quite
standard. Thanks and tight lines
Get a hammer and hit it. If it does not work to straighten it, do not
force it. Get a bigger hammer.
