Default SW Rattle Trap - Justin

Sure thing Jim.

Here is a little secret I came up with, to add action, flash and better
fish catch ability.

OK. First I use Secret Weapon Lures spinnerbaits/buzzbaits that have
interchangeable blades. These blades do not use swivels, and clip on
and off very quickly. Thus it is crucial to use these blades for the
best results.

Take a SWL willowleaf blade, #3 or #3 1/2 on a 1/2oz Rattle Trap;
(bigger or smaller size depending on other size Rattle Trap used)
attach the blade to the front split ring (just above the hook, leave
hook attached). When this is done, the blade will spin freely and
towards the back of the bait. The big thing here is by having it
attached to the front, (you don't loose any action or vibration from
the rattle trap, and don't get short strikes). I know you can buy
Rattle Traps with the blade on swivels attached to the back, but if you
notice them in the water; you lose action, most vibration, and get
short strikes!

The reason I say use a SWL blade instead of a conventional blade; is
SWL blades spin much more freely, one piece design, and you can quickly
change blade colors to conpensate for weather and water conditions.

I caught a 4 1/2lb LM that just inhaled the bait. When they would not
seem to hit without the blade. I have caught several other fish too,
but haven't caught any bigger ones yet.

PLEASE let me know, if you fish this and do good with it. Would be very
nice if everyone let me know how you do!
