My dad used to use a floating fly line to fish night crawlers in Oak Creek
for trout. Presentation, was exactly the same as using a heavy wet fly
otherwise.

I was reading something recently and thining that it would be a good way to
get a little more distance dead sticking a small minnow. (then again maybe
not. That minnow would sure get dried out swinging through the air. LOL.
