Default Is it still fly fishing if you use live bait?

It may be blasphemy to fly fisherman but my grandson and I are having a
blast with Rodney Long's Wiggle Rig. With Power Pro on a Shamano spin reel
mounted on my 9 1/2 foot 9 weight Loomis fly rod, my grandson has used worms
and plastic minnows to catch bass and bluegill. As a fly fisherman I am
just amazed at how far it throws!!!! It would be a short hop for us to
switch to live bait. Hmmm... You've got me thinking. g

When using "live" minnows on it,, kill them, put the hook through the
mouth, and out the top of their head, it makes them stay on better, and
gives them a much better action that lip hooked, it also works with dead
shad. It's better than just live, because they keep wiggling long after
a minnow would tire, now you have a bait that looks real, smells real,
taste real, and acts like it's injured, and panicked.

Some times you can find small minnows in a jar that have been pickled,
these are awesome, so are frozen shad
