Well now.....I can honestly say that I, as well, have never put a bobber on
my fly line. However, there have been occasions where I have actually put
my fly line on a bobber. Makes for a great strike indicator for my bobber.
Of course, I don't think I would call what I do with a fly rod even fishing,
no matter what is on the end of the line, bait, lure, fly, etc. I would
call my fly fishing technique quite embarrassing, even though I enjoy
it.....

Although I have used a 9'+ fly rod with a spinning reel to serve up
minnows to baulky bass, and I didn't use a bobber. LOL.
