The White House has a belated transcript of the interview, attributing
"perch" to a mistranslation. Now their story is that it was a bass,
which is at least plausible.

If catching a 7.5 pound bass was the high point of Bush's tenure as
president, just think what a high catching Osama bin Laden would have been.


Considering all that he's accomplished - or hasn't - I'd say his catching a
fish *is* the high point of his tenure to date...

We only have his word that he caught the fish. I'll only believe it
with pictures and two witnesses ( but not one of the usual gang of
suspects). His highpoints seem to be telling lies.
