The plan is to leave here a week from today for my annual visit to Greater
Yellowstone. I've got a long list of things to take care of before I go
but I think I'll get them done in time. I either want to be there and set
up in Baker's Hole before any of the 'big weekend' people arrive, or I'll
wait until after that weekend to leave here.
Reports indicate that even the Firehole will be a bit high and off color
with runoff when the season opens, but 'catching fish' is just a small part
of my fishing trips, anyway, so I can wait if needed.
Indeed, many of my life's favored activities have all had one thing in
common ... the need to slow down to Nature's pace, to really enjoy them.
When I see people zipping around in a mad rush, Borg-like in their
mechanical 4wheel personality extension exoskeletons with their 'collective
communication modules' stuck in their ears, I realize just how lucky I've
been, and am.
Larry ( who will be buying full season licenses in Idaho, Montana, YNP,
Wyoming, and maybe Nevada, to add to his California version and would like
to say to 'Ken C' that helping, a little, to support the protection of
places I love is a privilege, not a burden .... if you actually liked fish
and the wonderful places they live, you'd understand that )
