Default braided line

I've been using power pro for a fair length of time. I have a lot of
trouble with it looping and resulting in a knot well into the spool. I
use a spinning reel. Tried various suggested solutions all to no avail.
Is there any other braided line that I could use. (other than fireline)
Thanks

I've been using PowerPro since it became available in my area. When I have
problems with the line, 95% of the time it's because it wasn't packed tight
enough on the spool. When I initially spool it on, I have someone hold the
spool to maintain tension and make sure the line is tight. After fishing it
for a while, it will loosen up on the top layer. At that point I either tie
the end to something solid and back down the driveway until I'm into the
tight line. Then, with the drag cranked down tight, I wind the line back on
the spool.

If I'm out on the water when this happens (which isn't often), I'll tie on a
big-lipped, deep diving crankbait, cast as far as I can and motor away.
Again, once down into the tight line, I crank the bait back in. It doesn't
happen too often, but occasionally I'll pick up a nice fish in the process!
