Penn's Clave, expected hatches
Looks like a real good bug year at Penn's, plus the long range forecast
calls for a string of partly cloudy days with little or no rain from
Saturday on into next week. Bugs to expect:
Sulfurs, several yellow bugs in the range of #14-18
larger ones tend to be orange in color
Grey Fox, #12
March Brown, #10-plus
Mahogany Duns #16 possible
All can produce really fishable spinner falls.
Also, Tan Caddis in #14-16 are out in decent numbers,
along with lighter colored craneflies.
Finally, by weeks-end next week, I think the Drakes will be on. These bugs,
for those not used to them are a legit
#6 in size. This should be a good fishing week......I look
forward to seeing one and all!!!

p.s. my guess is also that the black-fly hatch should be
intense. A word to all to remember bug repellent of
choice.
