Default We had to release a carp today.

It was a sad day on the river. A kid came down with a bluegill rod and 6#
test. Things were slow, I only had 3 hookups in an hour. The rookie
managed to hook a medium carp of 35 inches and pushing close to 30# (mebbe)
He wrassled it in though, with expert backup on the net.

I had my new cam, he had a tape measure. The rest was fated.

Michigan Master Angler award only requires a 30 inch entry (carp) and a
picture.

It's all my fault. I had the form on my computer. The kid was happy. The
dreaded, dratted deed brought a tear to my eye as I urged him to release his
carp quickly.

I hope no one saw us throwing back a carp; my reputation would be ruined.
In the civilized world its illegal.
