The Merc 250XS might be different than other motors, but aren't you
supposed to vary the speed and avoid WOT during the break in period? From
what you wrote, it seems like this motor can run at full speed while it
breaks itself in.

Yeah, I have the Smart Gauges, and with the computer on the motor, it won't
let me do anything stupid. But it's all right to do a few short runs at
WOT. I keep varying the speeds and will continue to do so for probably the
next 10 - 12 hours.

Then look out! ;-)
