Thanks.

Small size and NO casting distance !

10lb test is too lite. Start with 17lb. test for salt water.

At best the pocket fisherman is for freshwater and for children.

It won't handle the salty environment.

Thanks, Dave. That is very helpful information.

Sincerely,
Joanne

Come on Dave. I have one around somewhere that somebody gave, After
completely disassembling, cleaning and lubricating it WORKS GREAT... seven
out of ten casts. I get pretty good distance too. With a measly little 2
ounce pancake sinker I can cast an amazing 30 or 40 feet almost every time.
Now about line size. Come on. I have landed 10 pound stripers on 6lb test.
The pocket Fisherman will handle atleast 10lb with a minimum of snarls. No
more than three out of ten casts anyway.

Give that bad boy a try. Heck, you land a good fish with it and I'll send a
letter to IGFA suggesting a NEW RECORD CLASS just for pocket fishermen.
