Try googling up infromation on the Kings river. There is a section
below Pine Flat Dam that is fly fishing only. It's easy to get to from
Fresno. I haven't fished in in many moons but I used to do pretty good
there. It catch and release and about a 25 minute from Fresno. You can
fish in 100 degee weather while standing ice water.
The San Joaquine is hard to get to above Millerton lake.


The Lower Kings is close to overflowing it's banks. I took a look at the
top end of the ffing only section, and it's about as blown out as it can
be. Not saying fish can't be caught, but survival is one factor to
consider. I saw a helicopter hovering just down stream. I've seen this
enough to think someone went swimming, and is missing.
