Interesting side note:

I watched my buddy Patrick catch a 27-1/2" 10 pounder
(a shorter but heavier fish than Bob Jacklin's) at the very same
spot, about 10-12 years ago. It was late March. We skinny
skiied in over hard packed spring snow to get there.
We spent about five hours there and got one hit between the two of us.
But it was a good one.
