there's not much on that.

Most fishing pictures are a bit like family snaps. Interesting for those
involved and, years later, an aid to memory or to show what grandad did when
he was young but with a few notable exceptions, they leave everyone else cold.

Consider the commonest type of picture, from the top down:

Unflattering hat: - might raise a titter one day.

Grinning face: - If you don't know the person it's just another face,
there's no context, no connection for anyone outside
family and friends.

[There may be a suspiciously clean T-shirt with bait-co. logo here.]

Fish (and sausage sized fingers) - 'Oh look, it'a (insert species) just like
loads of others in this gallery.'

Let's be honest, for the captor it's a red letter day and there's nothing
wrong with that. (S)he's justifiably proud of an excellent catch. For the
rest of us it's the fish we look at first and unless it is truly remarkable
specimen that's all it is, just another picture of a large fish like all the
others we've seen and which we hope one day to emulate.

I'm not saying that anglers won't look at the odd gallery but unless there
is something with it that might help them catch such fish for themselves
it's not going to be very popular.

On the other hand, if you could weave a story around a few selected pictures
you might have the basis for an interesting website.
