This is way upstream of Salisbury - just a small stream.

Well its slighted bigger than a stream i would say!!! But definately
not barbel country - i managed to bag a brown trout of about 1 - 1 1/2
that evening while my mate managed 2 grayling both under 1lb - all on
maggots.

It was very very weedy so fishing just off the weed in a clear spot was
the way to go.

Was all going fine till some kids decided to jump into the river just
down water and disturb the swim.

Been told that there is another good river to try at Britford on the
A338 out of salisbury which also has a free stretch on it!!!


Membership for the SADAC is closed until next season so cant join that
and go on the more exclusive rivers or parts of this year (£138 this
season).
