A bass's swim bladder can not adjust rapidly. This is why bass are
found at the same depth and do not regularly change depth quickly. When
you bring in a bass from more than a few feet, it can not submerge
again. This is why people are using hyperdermic needles to 'gas' a fish
by puncturing the swim bladder. After this article, I'm advancing my
timeline 3 years, 2017.
