anyone have any good ideas for fishing in porqupine mountains area in
july okay i'm going thursday for a week and looking for help will

5wt line and misc tippets
Depends on what you mean by "area." Within the park itself, there's both
the Big and Little Carp rivers, as well as the Presque Isle on the western
edge and several lakes including Mirror Lake and Lake of the Clouds in the
interior.
If you're willing to drive as much as an hour from the Porkies, there are
virtually limitless opportunites. The various branches of the Ontanogon
will present you with a lifetime's good fishing. The main channel beyond
the confluence of the east and middle branches is typically too muddy to be
appealing. Don't know much about the area to the immediate west, but there
are many other good streams to the east of the Porkies. In general, you
want to avoid the waters very close to the Lake Superior shore. Head a bit
further south. Damned near anything between M28 and U.S. 2 will be worth
your time.
Get a copy of DeLorme's Michigan Atlas and Gazetteer
any one been there in july recently or know
of water levels good rivers or shore spots or popular flies
Haven't been up there for a couple of months. The fish in these streams
tend to be highly opportunistic......any good selection of popular favorite
flies should work well for you.
