Default Siwash hooks

I use the Gamikatsu Live Bait HD also. The only hook to use on large fish.

I use a #6 on 20# spiderwire for carp. Over 120 landed this season. A
"normal" hook will open at the eye and you get an unbroken knot back, with
no hook. Gamis solved that problem.

Get a Gamagatsu live bait hook. Unless you are targeting large tuna, then
the Mutu's or Mutu lights. The Siwash will weight down the bait fish so
it can not swim. The thin, strong Gami's outfished my heavier hooks while
fishing Calicos at Catalina island. Guy gave me a couple and my catch
rate soared.

Hi

was wondering if Siwash hooks are good for freelining a baitfish.
Sardine or small herring.

Is that a good design of hook to use or are there much better hooks?

I saw some stainless daiichi Siwash style, looks very good. something
like this
