Default Good fishing resort north of Kingston ON

If you're looking for a place to go fishing in SW/Eastern Ontario, I
just got back from a weekend at dorothy's fishing lodge (On the rideau
north of kingston- I think it's on the trent severn waterway) and would
suggest it as a place to consider. There's a whole wack of lakes
readily accessible, one right after the other. The cottages were dated,
but spotless clean(plus they had satellite tv for rainy days). The food
was absolutely fabulous - as good as anything my wife and I get when we
spend $100 on meals. Think prime rib type of food

We actually didn't get any fish the first day - I am a weekend warrior
so that's my fault. On the second day we hired a guide through the
lodge and caught our limit plus threw a few back.

I believe I'll be heading back in the fall with my son! Worth
considering if you're looking for that kind of place. Their site is
www.dorothysfishing.com.

I learned quite a bit from the guide as well. It's rather interesting
that an amateur like me casts far out far then reals it in. The pros
apparently fish very close to the boat, close enough to watch and guide
the bait/lure. Also they have boats that go 80 miles an hour .
