A wild idea

Here's an fringe concept:
Why doesn't someone start a (for profit) online wiki-based fishing
magazine,
where the articles are supplied by the public at large, but an editor
does weed out the chaff.
Back issues and articles would always be available through keyword
searches.
Each article would include some (keyword associated) amount of relevant
advertizing.
The masses seem to like participation. So there would be lots of
discussion
forums and all pages would allow Blog-like user comments (similar to
the way users
are allowed to add comments on the apache an php manual pages).
The main feature articles would be user supplied, and they would turn
over N-times a year.
It would require an editor to make it work, I suppose. But it would be
a new publication model nobody has tried yet.
I think that's a fine idea. An online magazine, blog, calender, RSS
feed and more! Complete social web site for fisherman. Of course, you
could probably accomplish the whole thing on tagworld, newsvine, with
tags?
