Malcolm Kane a Penrith jeweller and holiday chalet landlord has
spilled the beans on the hunting community thus furthering the call
for banning shooting of wildlife.

In an Internet posting addressed to Angus Macmillan of Killhunting UK
he says. "I am considerably nearer to these hunts than you are. I am
in a better position to know what's going on" He goes on to say, "The
numbers now being killed AND those suffering by escaping wounded are
the very reason I changed my mind from being against hunting. Mainly
due to examining the situation due to your posts".

It is clear Mr Kane has some inside information from local hunts in
Cumbria to arrive at this conclusion, so I challenge him to produce
evidence that his accusations against the hunting fraternity are
correct so the his assertions can be used in the campaign to ban
shooting.

A copy of this post is being sent to border hunts so they may have the
chance to comment.

Why don't you just Google instead of posting silly rubbish like the
above? Here are the first three items that came up when I looked:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4724028.stm

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main...2/19/nhunt19.x
ml

http://scotlandonsunday.scotsman.com...?id=1339272004

The last one says that the number killed in the Borders has doubled,
using figures from the huntsmen themselves.

And if you think the above will aid you in a campaign against shooting,
then good luck to you. Sport shooting will still be taking place long
after you are long dead and buried. And as I will be, too, there's no
point in having a bet on it :-)

Is shooting of foxes flushed from cover by hounds classed as sports
shooting?

I've no idea, but Angus was, I thought, referring to the banning of all
shooting as he done so before now. I suspect he would like to ban all
fishing, too.

Quite right. Where's the difference? Fishing is cruel, usually carried
out by thugs of limited intelligence, litterbugs, drunks and bums.

Same weirdo's who enjoy hunting animals for fun, as long as the odds
are stacked in their favour.

Where's the good in letting that continue?

Fishing is a time-hono(u)red activity--you soil the name of Jesus, Ser!

Jesus did it for food, not for phun.

I eat all my caught fish!
