The Power That Be in Montana have just announced that river closures
from noon to midnight will be lifted on two rivers in western Montana
starting August 25 ( maybe all bans are lifted, not sure). The Clark
Fork will be open as will the lower reaches of the Bitteroot. The
Missouri and Rock Creek have not had bans. The guide/shop owner in St.
Regis who I know is very happy.
