Need some opinions on this. Fishing the other day and chucking, pitching
and casting to my favorits spots. The minute my lure is let go, know
matter what the presentation, I was seeing fish just splash and run,
sometimes 5-10 feet from where my lure entered the water. Now I have
spooked some fish in the past but this day it seemed like there were a
bunch of spooked fish It was like they were seeing the lure coming and
said : "Oh no, I'm outta here"
How do you approach this type of situation?, and nope it wasn't a matter
of letting the bait enter the water quietly either, it didn't seem to
matter
Last night I spooked a lot of fish with a buzzbait. One swirl that looked
particularly big got my attention. I cast back to the same area and spooked
him again. On my sixth retrieve over top of him he finally nailed it. Six
times I burned that buzzbait over him before he decided to nail it. Felt
like a pretty good fish, but he got down in the grass and like a rooky I
tried to horse him out instead of using the trolling motor to go get him.
