Hello everyone. I have been lurking for about six months to pick up
some pointers as I am primarily a crappie fisherman and have only
recently become serious about bass.

I live in Central Ms on a private 835 acre lake that is managed by
Southeastern Pond management, so we are fortunate to have a great
fishery.

I wanted to tell you about the most fantastic bait I have come across
since the invention of the plastic worm. OK, that might be an over
statement, but it has me excited.

It is the Netbait 5" Paca Craw. You can rig it a variety of ways, but
so far I have only fished it on a Carolina Rig and Texas style and
mostly just use it Texas style with a 1/4 once cone lead. The guy that
turned me on to these works at our new Bass Pro and I guess somebody
told him. So far the best color is the Alabama Craw which has a
natural crawfish color.

This thing has such natural motion that it really provokes bigger bass
to strike during these hot summer days when the bait fish are
plentiful. I have been fishing within 100 yards of others on the same
structure and am catching far more large fish and when they hit it
there is no doubt you have a nice one.

I use a 2/0 super line EWG Gamakatsu hook and as light a lead as I can
stand. I just tried swimming it like a Gitzit yesterday and caught a
really nice fish that almost took the rod away. I am 55 years young,
but this thing has got me looking forward to fishing like I did when I
was a teenager.

They say you can fish it like a buzz bait and I believe it.

Since I am fishing in real clear conditons where bass should spook
easily, I think this may work for you.
