Default Another Trolling motor question

Thanks everyone for your input.

While I would love to have a 24v setup, I don't think I can justify it
for my application. My MK 44/AT has enough thrust on high speed (5)
when the wind makes (4) like treading water. With the extra 10 #'s of
thrust and the variable speed, I should be able to find a point that
keeps me moving at fishing speed when the wind is blowing and the
maximizer technology should give me more trolling time at the higher
usage speed. If it turns out that I use the battery up too quickly
then I will buy a spare battery. Since I live on the lake, I could
make a quick change.

Frankly, if the wind is blowing that bad, I probably won't go anyway.

Thanks again.
