Hey Kev,

We caught a bunch of smallies, but the conditions were absolutely
brutal. Even worse than day 2 of the NWC, except it was post frontal
bluebird skies. Woke up and it was 38 in Rhinelander, but at least it
wasn't blowing hard.....yet. As we were traveling to Butternut you
could see the trees dancing, and the temp guage in my truck read 42. So
I was less than excited and really kind of burned out.

I found some stuff on the map on the north side of the lake where we
were kind of protected from the wind and fishing some cribs between 7'
and 10', and my dad started off with a really nice smallie around 17.5",
and we proceeded to catch a bunch off of rockpiles throughout the lake,
but it was less than stellar. I think my dad just enjoyed being out
there with me, he only really made it until about 2pm and was ready to
roll, which I didn't argue with because I wanted to get home and see
Michelle.

Did you end up going to Land O Lakes? Did you fish? How was the trip home?

Anybody else go out on Saturday or Sunday after the NWC????? Any
stories? I ran into Ronnie as I was rolling out and he was preparing
for the drive back to Georgia. Hopefully he got back ok, hit us up Ronnie!
