Funny to hear you say that. Whenever I tell people that I have an Epi
copy of the SG, they just scoff. I just smile to myself and think of how
much I saved on it versus a "real" Gibson.

my earlier observation was based upon my playing of the recent
"masterbilt" line of acoustics marketed under the epi name, chuck. i can't
vouch for anything else. still, my son, who is very knowledgeable
concerning electrics, alleges that the epi copies of gibson's legendary "les
paul" models are very good.
